Heather is the principal of FranNet of Virginia, LLC, a franchise and business opportunity advisory firm established in 2009 to help people evaluating various “pre-built" business opportunities figure out how to vet these types of businesses and identify the ones that best align with the would-be business owner's skill set, financial requirements, and investment level, as well as other personal and professional goals.  Heather began her career as a lawyer, advising businesses on contracts, intellectual property, and litigation strategy. Now a business owner and franchisee herself, Heather conducts franchise education workshops throughout Virginia and Washington, DC; provides coaching on how to make the transition from employee to entrepreneur; and offers guidance to people who are researching full-time or semi-passive franchise opportunities. Heather is also the co-founder of NoVA Women Who Mean Business, a DC area networking group for female business owners, and a co-author of the book, More Than Just French Fries.
